Day 11: Nanchang to Guangzhou (4/15/2012)

Today we had our final breakfast in Nanchang and then headed to the airport.

One of the views from the breakfast room of the hotel

This is the room where it all happened:

And baby girl's last photos in the room where we met her:

The terminal we flew from in Nanchang was very modern and Evelyn said it was just completed within the last 2 years.
Ready for her first flight!

For the Hawaii readers....
On the plane to Guangzhou - short flight, only 1 hour and 10 minutes.  Tamasyn played it perfectly.  Looked around at the other passengers and made several smile.  Fell asleep at takeoff.  Sort of stirred as we started the descent.  Drank her bottle as we landed, hopefully helping her ears, taking the last sip as we touched down.  Woke up in a super mood for the shuttle ride to the terminal and van ride to the hotel!

Arrival to the hotel in Guangzhou - not quite as luxurious accommodations but in a busier area with more walkable convenience.  More street noise, softer beds.  Always a tradeoff.  LOTS of adoptive families all around as all from the US travel through here to get the visa to come home.
Our guide here is Kathy.  We went to dinner with her and another mom and her 14-month-old.  Mike finally got his (expensive) steamed fish.
